The Elizabeth Tudor Award

The Elizabeth Tudor Award is dedicated to a carer each year for their outstanding commitment and contribution to foster care. They show selflessness, service to others, warmth, advocacy and dedication to all the children for who they have cared for.

A big congratulations to our winner of this year’s Elizabeth Tudor Award, Charlotte Duff.

Thank you for being such an amazing and caring individual. Since becoming accredited, you have provided emergency, respite, short-term foster care and specialised TFCO placements to numerous children and young people. More recently, your involvement with OzChild’s first Mockingbird constellation has highlighted your leadership and willingness to share skills and knowledge with fellow carers.

You are renowned for your empathy and meticulous preparation ahead of each placement, you often provide care to children with complex behavioural needs and remain a constant figure in their lives by providing ongoing respite care and support.

Amongst the carers you are known as a passionate advocate for children, ensuring their voices are heard, their autonomy and individuality respected, and their unique stories preserved.

Thank you for everything you do!
